That feeling you don't belong? Here's how to own it.

Ever felt like a fraud despite your sales success? That nagging belief you're not truly qualified, that at any moment, someone will expose you?

This is imposter syndrome, and it's common in high pressure sales. Constant scrutiny, tangible results, and seemingly flawless top performers can amplify self doubt, making us hesitate and shy away from opportunities.

It's a silent saboteur, preventing us from owning our achievements and reaching full potential.

The good news? You're not alone. Many successful sales veterans battle imposter syndrome.

The key isn't to eliminate the feeling, but to manage it so it doesn't derail your performance. It's about recognizing the thought, acknowledging it, and acting despite it.

Here are three powerful strategies to conquer imposter syndrome and own your success:

1.Track Your Wins (Big and Small): Imposter syndrome thrives on forgotten accomplishments. Keep a "win journal" a record of every success, from closing a complex deal to positive feedback or mastering a new technique.

When self doubt creeps in, review this list. It's tangible evidence of your capabilities, not ego.

2.Focus on Your Strengths: Don't try to be good at everything. Identify your unique sales superpowers. Are you a master at building rapport? An expert problem solver? A relentless prospector?

Double down on what you do best. Operating from strength boosts confidence, revealing your unique approach as your greatest asset.

3. Seek Objective Feedback: Imposter syndrome distorts self perception.

Actively seek feedback from trusted mentors, managers, or colleagues.

Ask about your performance, strengths, and growth areas. When they praise your abilities, truly internalize it. Their objective perspective helps recalibrate your internal narrative, showing your success is earned, not accidental.

Conquering imposter syndrome isn't about arrogance; it's about developing a realistic self perception to perform at your peak.

Your success isn't a fluke, it's the result of your hard work, skill, and dedication. It's time to own it.

P.S. How do you remind yourself of your value when imposter syndrome strikes? Share your strategies, it may help others in our network.
